Welcome to Bajan Heights, a stately 5-bedroom villa in sunny Barbados, taking in a grand view of the western shores of the island.

Sporting a lavish new renovation makeover, Bajan Heights is at the peak of luxurious island living. Bajan Heights’ impressive façade is matched by its intentional design to complement the natural beauty that surrounds it. Classic Caribbean architecture blended with features that bring it into modernity, the sprawling terrace and gardens, along with the surrounding foliage of the dense thickets of mature palms lend the villa an idyllic, oasis-like vibe. The shaded veranda that is integrated into the villa design is a generous space stretching the full width of the villa itself. Equipped with outdoor lounge and dining area, dinner al fresco in the light of the setting sun is a breathtaking experience. The wet bar and powder room close by make the pool deck a strong contender as the social hub of the villa and makes playing the host a breeze.

The top level of the deck frames the large swimming pool - the perfect place to take full advantage of the brilliant sun shining down, not to mention the abundance of sun loungers. If taking a cool dip in the height of the day’s heat sounds like a dream, the exterior lighting illuminating the terrace and pool makes the allure of a swim under the stars hard to resist. The steps down onto the lawns reveals a stepping stone path that leads to a shaded gazebo, the perfect spot to enjoy some quiet shade and a cool drink in the ambience of the Barbadian climate.

The interior, in keeping with traditional Caribbean style, is comprised of spacious rooms with lofty ceilings, wide arched doorways granting the villa a bright and airy atmosphere throughout. Special occasions and gatherings with family and friends are effortlessly catered to, with a fully equipped kitchen on hand to prepare mouth-watering meals with rich flavours and aromas; the resident chef’s capable hands are ready to dish up beautiful island cuisine when the occasion demands it.

The bedrooms, gorgeously decorated, are outfitted with irresistibly soft beds and bedding; sinking into the sheets each night is a joy, and thanks to the air conditioning that each room enjoys, it’s easy to maintain a pleasant and cool environment for sleep. All five bedrooms enjoy the added privacy of their own en-suite bathrooms; four of the bedrooms are located within the main villa, the fifth residing in the guest house adjacent to the main building.

Located on the midwestern edge of the island in the parish of St. James, Bajan Heights west-facing façade means the golden light of the fading sun filters through the trees into the garden and terrace each evening with a beautiful glow. The location within the gated community results in a peaceful, private refuge for guests, but stays within easy reach of conveniences and amenities; the Royal Westmoreland’s prestigious reputation and stellar facilities are within easy reach of guests. Ideally placed for both privacy and security, while allowing guests easy access to all Barbados has to offer. Speightstown lies north, Holetown to the south. Holetown is the closest area to the villa for retail therapy, with a plethora of shops, restaurants, boutiques, spas and much more, just a quick 5-minute drive away. A multitude of golf courses are also within easy reach. Thanks to the unique land formation of Barbados, there’s plenty of natural wonders on display, like Harrison’s Cave, an underground limestone cavern, or Barbados Wildlife Reserve, which allows visitors to stroll through the land natural habitat of these exotic indigenous creatures.

Thank you, Yvonne and Julie, for recommending this amazing property. We were a bit reluctant at the start as we have always stayed on the beach until now. But this villa is 100 times nicer than anything on the beach for a fraction of the cost. We had so much space and the gardens and pool are gorgeous. The beach membership at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion was fabulous and the beach is, in my opinion, the nicest beach on the island. We drove down every day and it never took more than 5 or 6 minutes. We can highly recommend Bajan Heights Villa and will definitely be back.

Bajan Heights has just undergone a half million refurbishment and is new to the Barbados rental market. I loved it. It is extremely luxurious, spacious and private. All our clients have access to all the great facilities of the Royal Westmoreland Country Club as well as beach club membership of the Fairmont which is on Alleynes Bay. Bajan Heights is one of the lesser known gems in Barbados.
