Martangie, formerly known as Caprice, is a luxury 4 bedroom beach front villa with plunge pool located directly on a lovely stretch of beach at Reeds Bay in St James on the very exclusive west coast of Barbados.
Martangie has a stunning entrance with a corridor that flows all the way to the terrace and sea. On the left of the entrance is the villa’s plunge pool which has a beautiful stone and waterfall feature as well as being surrounded by lovely flowering tropical plants. With its fabulous location directly on the beach and its exquisite yet understated style, Martangie is a study in the beautiful simplicity of Caribbean living. The properties main living area which has golden sand coloured polished marble floors and luxurious white soft furnishings flows to the hardwood terrace and sea. This provides a wonderful calming atmosphere to this beautiful Barbados villa rental. There’s a wonderful sense of space with lots of comfortable area’s for guests to enjoy and relax.
The terrace which is open on all sides to the ocean breezes has a stunning dining table with seating for up to 10 people as well as a lovely and comfortable outdoor living area all just steps from the lapping shore. It also makes a perfect space for entertaining friends and family or for a small wedding or special occasion. Martangie is one of the best spots in Barbados to experience the beautiful sunsets which are so often a feature of this beautiful island.
Martangie has four luxurious en-suite and air-conditioned bedrooms. The two main bedrooms are located on the first floor on the sea side of the villa and therefore have stunning sea views as well as access to a private terrace via French doors that open right up. The master bedroom has a King bed with a sitting area and a very large bathroom with bath and separate shower. The second room on this floor has a Queen sized four poster bed. There are two further bedrooms downstairs. One of the rooms has two single beds that can be made up as a King bed and the fourth bedroom has a double Queen bed.
On the beach side of Martangie, there are plenty of sun loungers for you to enjoy the lovely Barbados sun, read a great book or just relax and enjoy the soothing sounds of the sea. There is a reef directly in front of the villa which is good for snorkelling but there are also plenty of sandy swimming spots if you walk a couple of moments to the left.
Holiday days in Martangie are truly wonderful. You will be warmly welcomed with some rum or fruit punch and some delicious locally made fish cakes on arrival. Start your day by a lovely long walk along the beautiful beach followed by a cooling dip in the aqua marine crystal clear Caribbean sea. Meals may be taken on the beautiful terrace beside the sea and the choice is yours. Enjoy anything from platters of beautiful tropical fruits, homemade delicious pancakes or even some locally freshly caught flying fish. Dinners under the stars are also wonderful and you are sure to enjoy some authentic Caribbean fair using only the freshest of ingredients as well as delicious deserts and wines.
If you do decide to leave this wonderful paradise, there are many beautiful spots on the island to explore. Our complimentary pre-arrival concierge will be delighted to assist you with this and Martangie's villa manager is also on call for when you arrive on the island and would like some assistance or advice.
Martangie also has a near-perfect location. It is approximately halfway between the lovely town of Holetown to the south with its many sophisticated shops and restaurants and Speightstown to the north where you can experience a more local atmosphere. Golf and tennis as well as a full spa facility at Mullins are all very close by.
STAFF
Martangie has wonderful staff. They comprise of the cook who will make you two consecutive meals (either breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner) and a Housekeeper who is one of our most popular. One of our past clients told us that they have been visiting Barbados for over 20 years and Martangie has the best staff they have ever experienced.

Unavailable Caprice is situated on Reeds bay and is literately steps from the beach. Its a spacious 4 bedroom villa which has a modern feel about it. There is a large plunge pool to the side of the villa with decking and seats. It has an open plan living area and boasts very comfortable couches.All bedrooms are bright and airy and I particularly like the wooden terrace to the front which overlooks the Caribbean ocean. There is a gate to the side where you can walk on to the beach. Caprice has the luxury feel about it and is a place that I would highly recommend.
Villa Caprice is the ideal family house for a perfect vacation on the water. The views on the ocean are beautiful and I loved the waterfall-style plunge pool which is very private. All bedrooms are comfortable and nicely decorated.
