Welcome to Mahogany Bay “Fathom’s End”, one of 6 wonderful townhouses located on the amazing West Coast of Barbados. Located on Paynes Bay, which is best known for its pristine white sand and calm turquoise waters, it’s also where you can swim with the turtles just a couple of minutes offshore.
The beach is a wonderful spot to relax or enjoy a walk to the exclusive Sandy Lane Hotel which is approximately 15 minutes away. Daphne’s and The Cliff Restaurants are also walking distance. Holetown is very close by where you will find an excellent selection of both local and designer shopping as well as other nice restaurants
When staying at this villa, guests are in for a real treat. As you walk through the front door, your eyes are immediately fixated passed the living room, and on to the bright blue ocean beyond. The villas’ living room is open plan with soft furnishings scattered round. On the right side of this area is for rest and relaxation with a comfy couch. It is a lovely area just to chill out after a long day at the beach. On the left is the formal dining area with a dark wooden table and chairs that can seat up to 6 guests. The décor throughout the house is Caribbean chic with warm colours and pops of local art. The marble top breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the main living room and here is a great meeting place in the mornings where you can plan your day. Fathom’s End comes with a fully fitted kitchen and all modern appliances. A housekeeper is on hand six days a week and she will tidy up and make the beds while you are our enjoying Barbados life.
Two sets of French doors lead to the outside area and here is where you will spend most of your days. Under the covered veranda is where the plunge pool and outdoor seating area is. Most guests retire here after dinner for a chat and to watch the Caribbean setting behind the ocean. The area also comes with a barbeque so you can cook up a feast when you feel like it. Ifes Fish Market is a short walk from Paynes Bay so you can have the freshest produce to cook with.
The bedrooms at Fathom’s End are all upstairs and can be accessed via the stairs. The two guest bedrooms can be found on the first floor and the Master bedroom on the second. There is a Queen-sized bed in the first bedroom and twin beds in the second. There is a double door that leads to the shared balcony. Both rooms have walk-in closets and spacious bathrooms with showers. All rooms have A/C and ceiling fans.
The third floor is entirely taken up by the master bedroom. There is a charming four-poster king bed, built-in closets, and a separate large bathroom with a shower and Jacuzzi tub. What makes this room extra special is its double balcony which offers amazing ocean views. Many guests enjoy their morning coffee or nightcaps while viewing the panoramic scenery.
This villa is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Barbados. Guests can walk the length of Paynes Bay beach and sometimes as far as the Sandy Lane Resort. Fathom’s End at Mahogany Bay is ideally located due to its’ proximity to everything such as water sports, golf, restaurants, bars, and shops. It really is an ideal beachfront getaway

Paynes Bay is a popular destination along the west coast of Barbados. This vibrant area is also known as the "Platinum Coast", and it holds a beautiful stretch of golden shoreline, overlooking mild turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Paynes Bay Beach Barbados is specifically located in the parish of St. James which is one of the top destinations on the island. It offers a central location with Sandy Lane beach and Holetown to the north, and Fitts Village and Batts Rock Bay to the south. Paynes Bay Beach Barbados is a sought-after paradise that can be busy during peak season but never overcrowded. We recommend visiting the beach earlier in the day to guarantee the best spot.

Unavailable Happy New Year Yvonne and Julie, It's been very busy since we arrived home from Barbados so I haven't had a chance until now to let you know what a lovey time we had. The villa was absolutely gorgeous, very well-appointed and the grounds were spectacular. It was just the perfect site for us and we were on the patio or at the beach every day. Judy was so helpful, not only with meals but also with information about getting around. She connected us with William a taxi driver who had a large van to accommodate all 6 of us and he was very informative about all things Bajan, both historical and current. Her meals were delicious and we didn't use her that often only because our whole family loves to cook and the kitchen was very well-appointed. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone staying in Barbados. The location is terrific since it's only a short distance to many nice restaurants, and just a mile up the street were grocery, ATM and gas station. I think anyone renting a car should bring their own GPS or get a car that has one installed. Many of the streets don't have signs and I had to use 3 different roadmaps to get us to the airport in a timely manner. Next time we come to Barbaros, I will be sure to remember the GPS. When we arrived, management company came by to make sure all was to our satisfaction and she told us to call her if we needed anything.
