Leamington Pavilion is a colonial-style beachfront property with a private pool located directly on the beach on the beautiful paradise island of Barbados. The villa is set on over 2 acres of beautiful lush tropical gardens and is reminiscent of a Caribbean-style Relais et Chateau Manoir located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados. This luxury Barbados rental comprises 3 beautiful bedrooms in the main house. There is a separate and private cottage with its own small pool which may be rented together with Leamington Pavilion or on its own.
Leamington Pavilion is truly a beautiful property. It is quite traditional as well as has an extremely luxurious Barbados feel to it. This Barbados villa has a timeless essence about it and it that is both sophisticated and elegant. The house has an amazing history having welcomed many famous stars including Greta Garbo and Claudette Colbert. Leamington Pavilion house was originally designed by well-known English designer Oliver Messel. It was purchased by Jack Heinz of Heinz Foods who transformed it into a luxurious vacation home.
This luxurious Barbados vacation rental is totally open plan and the living areas open completely onto the stunning gardens and pool and to the beautiful sea. The villa has been recently and totally refurbished and is in meticulous and pristine condition. The décor is very luxurious with lots of wonderful antique pieces, hand-painted furniture, paintings, sculptures, and personalized touches. Whilst Leamington Pavilion is beautifully furnished, it is also very much a home and you will without a doubt feel that the instant you arrive.
As soon as you enter Leamington Pavilion, you will start to relax and feel the pressures of the 21st century slip away and be replaced with a wonderful calmness and tranquillity. As your days go by relaxing by the pool, swimming in the beautiful aquamarine crystal clear calm waters, having wonderful dinners with family and friends under the stars or simply relaxing on one of the comfortable sun beds that are scattered around the gardens, you will feel supremely relaxed. Staying at Leamington Pavilion is like heaven on earth with its wonderful sea breezes, gorgeous gardens, and the intoxicating scents from the profusion of tropical flowers that embraces you.
The main living area is located right in the center of the villa and opens up directly onto a beautiful and large covered terrace. Because the house is completely open, there is always a cooling breeze coming through the house. The terrace itself is super comfortable and relaxed with lovely dark wicker furniture, overstuffed pillows, and billowing curtains.
One of the most beautiful features of Leamington Pavilion is the formal dining room. It is absolutely stunning and wonderful for a special occasion or dinner. It is decorated in a Rococo style and has special features such as pieces of classical sculpture. The table is made from Italian Marble and has an incredible antiqued mirrored top. The whole atmosphere of the room is incredibly romantic, especially in candlelight.
For more relaxed evenings, it is possible to dine on the terrace under the stars which is also wonderful. Leamington Pavilion also has a roof terrace which is the ideal spot for watching the sunset, pre-dinner cocktails, or sunbathing in complete privacy. The views from the roof terrace over the pool, gardens, and sea are panoramic. There is also a lovely air-conditioned TV den located directly off the pool area.
Each of the three gorgeous air-conditioned bedrooms is located on the ground floor. The master has a King bed and is located on the beach side of the property with direct access to the terrace, gardens, and pool. The views from here are wonderful. The second and third bedrooms can be used as either a twin or a King sized bed. The décor in each is charming with unique antiques, original artworks, crystal chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling curtains, and supremely comfortable beds topped with luxurious linens. Leamington Pavilion offers guests a great degree of flexibility and making it suitable for both a family trip or for groups of adults. It is also a lovely villa for a special occasion such as a small wedding or anniversary.
For those who like to keep fit on their vacation, Leamington Pavilion has its own private tennis court as well as a fully equipped gym. In addition, the lovely classically shaped swimming pool is large enough for you to do proper laps and at the same time perfect if you prefer just to take a relaxing and cooling dip to escape from the heat of the midday sun. It’s also perfect for an evening swim under the stars with the sounds of the sea lapping close by.
The pool is surrounded by beautiful lawns which flow seamlessly down to the beach. The gardens are extremely spacious and really lovely. They are full of sweet-smelling tropical plants and flowers such as bougainvillea, orchids, ixoras, and exotic palm trees. There are lots of Italian style statues dotted around the gardens as well as a lily pond and little private nooks which are perfect for meditating or spending time in quiet reflexion. In addition, there are two gazebos in the gardens which were created by a Bajan craftsman called James Barrow. One of the gazebos has an outdoor dining table and the second gazebo features an incredibly comfortable oversized lounger. This is a lovely spot to relax and read a good book or have a chat with friends over a rum punch or glass of champagne.
There’s a beautiful stretch of beach once you walk down the garden & through a little gate to the right. There are over 200 feet of beautiful beach frontage. Mostly the swimming is perfect directly in front of the villa but occasionally in high tide, you may need to walk a couple of moments to the left or right to swim. There is also some really excellent snorkeling just offshore where you will get to see some very colorful corals and tropical fish.
The location is truly wonderful as this end of Barbados tends to be a little quieter yet you still have the lovely properties of both Cobblers Cove to one side and Saint Peters Bay to the other. Both are boutique-style properties with excellent restaurants should you decide to dine out for lunch or dinner. Leamington Pavilion is also located very close to the lovely traditional town of Speightstown. In addition, the golf courses at Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland are just a short drive from Leamington Pavilions.
LEAMINGTON COTTAGE:
Leamington Cottage is located in the grounds of Leamington Pavilion. It is completely private and self-contained and may be rented with the main pavilion house or on its own. It is not overlooked at all and also has its own private access to the beach. The beach here is particularly private and lovely. There are wonderful views from the cottage and the décor is simple and bright. It is perfect if you have a larger group of if a couple in your group would like to have some added privacy.
There is a small private plunge pool with the cottage and you will be lovingly cared for by Andrea who is our cook/housekeeper. All our guests at Villas Barbados love her.
STAFF Leamington Pavilion has a wonderful butler called Keith. He’s been at Leamington Pavilion for years and is a mind of information. He is a stickler for attention to detail and as a result your every wish will be met and anticipated by him. On arrival, you will be met with one of Keith’s famous rum punches together with a selection of delicious canapés. Keith is so popular with some of our Villas Barbados guests that they have tried to convince him to go back home with them!!
Chef Pearson has also been working as part of the Leamington Pavilion team for many years. He is one of the best chefs on the island. His cooking is really versatile and will be able to make all your favorite dishes. He is also a great baker.
In addition, there is a wonderful housekeeper, maid, and laundress who all ensure that the house is kept in pristine condition all of the time.
Leamington Pavilion also has a gardener who attends to the beach and outdoor areas as well as a Villa Manager who will be able to help you with any extra special requirements.
Our team at Villas Barbados will also be on hand prior to your visit to make sure all your concierge requirements such as pre-stocking, car hire, airport transfers, boat trips, and excursions are met.
