It is a beautiful four bedroom villa and has just been recently renovated to a luxurious standard. This particular villa is in an ideal location for family and friends to come and join you for some quality time.
This luxurious Barbados villa is on the cusp of the sandy beach, allowing guests to swim in the safe turquoise waters. When the desire takes you to explore further afield, Holetown is simply a 3 minute drive away and it is here where you have the finest selection of restaurants and bars, while also tailoring for high end shopping in the Limegrove centre. The exclusive Sandy Lane Resort is a romantic stroll along the beach and for golf lovers its Golf and Country Club is nearby.
The villa is very spacious and opens out onto a huge covered terrace which is wonderful for al fresco dining, a pre dinner drink or just relaxing. A professional gas barbeque is on hand for the more informal evenings, and when you couple this with a magical sun setting in front of you, the results is surely for an unforgettable evening. The terrace also has a formal dining area for up to 8 guests and I can’t think of anywhere better to sample your private Chef’s wonderful cuisine.
The living room provides guest with a beige coloured decor, very comfortable seating areas which is complimented by locally sourced artworks. There are plasma TV screens for guest’s entertainment and the villa also provides a high speed wireless ADSL/WIFI connection together with a DVD player. There is a state of the art kitchen fully equipped for those of you who like to cook.
Payne’s Bay has plenty to see and do, from early morning our butlers will have your sun loungers placed in a prominent position on the beach if you fancy a spot of sun bathing. For the sporting and fun loving members of the party we can organise jet skies/wave runners to be dropped off for your enjoyment. Feeding the local turtles is another fun thing to do, as well as the usual snorkelling and diving.
Smugglers Cove complex is also guarded by 24 hour security.
The location: Smugglers Cove 5 is on the gorgeous Paynes Bay beach which lies next door to the exclusive Sandy Lane Resort. Holetown is a 3 minute drive from here and Speightown (Old Barbados) is a further 10 minutes away.
Holetown is where you will find some of the best restaurants, shops and bars in Barbados. The recently built Lime Grove Centre http://www.limegrove.com/ is full of designer shops all offering tax free prices. There are brand names such as Louis Vuitton, Cartier and Ralph Lauren as well as a really good selection of trendy restaurants, bars and a cinema. On the other side of Holetown are the Chattel Shops. Here you will find some really unique boutiques full of fashionable beach ware and gift items. There is also an excellent supermarket and pharmacy.
Paynes Bay Beach is an amazing beach that is wonderful for swimming, snorkelling and for taking long walks while watching the sun setting. Guests can also swim with turtles from this beach. Smugglers 5 is stunning. We have been to Barbados many times before but this property is by far our favourite so far. The terrace is huge and has stunning views. It was so nice in fact that we didn't go out nearly as much as we originally planned. It was hard to beat having lunch and dinner on the terrace. We did walk down the beach to Daphnes Restaurant and to Treasure Beach and both were excellent. The housekeeper Roslin was a gem. Thank you, Yvonne and Julie, from Exceptional Villas for recommending it to us. I hope that we will be back very soon.

I can honestly say I was blown away from the moment I entered Smugglers Cove No 5. I have stayed in no 6 before and thought this was absolutely stunning but when I arrived to see no 5 I was in awe. Everything from the layout and beautiful art pieces to the stunning views and spacious seating areas. The villa is perfect for couples and offers privacy and space to all guests. It is worth nothing that No 5 does not have a plunge pool or a media room like Smugglers Cove no 6 but it has a wonderful Caribbean feel to it and is stylish and modern too. I personally love the décor in the villa and would gladly stay here every time I come to Barbados.
I am very lucky to have stayed in many of the villa rentals in Barbados over the years we have been doing business on the island. But Smugglers Cove 5 is truly one of my favourite places to stay. The huge terrace is amazing and hard to leave. The view is stunning and it just feels so relaxing. There are loads of sunbeds and super comfortable areas to relax, read a book or chat with friends. It is also one of the best places on the island to enjoy the beautiful Barbados sunsets. The interiors of the villa are very luxurious and even the most discerning travellers will be happy. Roslyn the housekeeper is an absolute pleasure and will do everything she can to ensure you have a relaxing time. I love Smugglers 5 and cannot recommend it highly enough.
I stayed at the beautiful Smugglers Cove 5 in October of this year and I was sad to leave it. This is an ideal villa for a family getaway or group of friends. The bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and come with large ensuite bathrooms, the living room is spacious and the balcony area boasts breathtaking views of Paynes Bay and Caribbean ocean. Guests have private access to the beach and the Smugglers Cove building is close to many wonderful restaurants, bars and grocery stores. This was a wonderful stay and I look forward to my return !!
I simply loved staying at Smugglers 5! The sense of space from the moment we arrived was breath-taking. I enjoyed the view from the huge terrace so much. Definitely one of my favourite spots. I love recommending Smugglers Cove to our guests - I know they'll love it there.
