The Villa at the St James located right on Paynes Bay beach is an ultra-modern, five-bedroom, ground floor unit with its private swimming pool and terrace. What I like most about “The Villa” is that the ocean is in full view from the living, dining and kitchen area so whatever part of this area you and in, your view is of the Caribbean Sea.
“The Villa” is situated on the ground floor of the West Coasts newest luxury development and overlooking the pristine white sands and turquoise waters of Paynes Bay beach; this condo enjoys unobstructed views of the ocean. Access to the soft white sands is easy using your private pathway alongside the villa and a keyed gate assuring privacy and security. Beach chairs and umbrellas are set up for you every morning to make the most of those important lazy sun-soaked days. This beach is truly a work of art that has everything, flat calm waters, some coral reef that attracts sea life which is great for snorkelling, motorised watersports on request and some of the finest restaurants a short walk away.
Let's talk about the villa, as I mentioned before its ultra modern with floor to ceilings glass windows that fold back to create a wonderful indoor/outdoor ambience. In the evenings, it's lovely to let the gentle breeze float through the home as you relax on the sofa while watching some tv. The dining area which can seat ten guests and has an alfresco look about it is set up on the terrace. Here we can cater to your guest with a delicious Caribbean styled evening, under the stars. The ultra-modern kitchen also enjoys unobstructed ocean vistas and is fully equipped with the latest appliances and a sleek design.
There is a total of 5 luxury bedroom to be found in this property. The spacious and sophisticated Master bedroom enjoys direct access to the patio and swimming pool. There is nothing more invigorating than waking in the morning and looking out at the majestic Caribbean Ocean. Also, in the main house, there are three more luxury bedrooms en-suite. Two of these come with queen beds, and the third has twin beds in it.
Each room is flooded with natural light and enjoys views of the surrounding area. They also boast soft linen bedding and luxurious rainfall showers in their private en-suite bathrooms. The fifth and final bedroom is otherwise known as the Cottage. Guests can access it from the condo directly or from the complex entrance. It has more of an annexe feel to it and includes a kitchenette, living/dining area, queen size bed and bathroom. Ideally, this room would be for older teens or a couple seeking added privacy.
The location of The Villa at St James can be described as one of the best on the island of Barbados. It boasts a first-class beachfront location; you are also a short walk to some beach bars and wonderful restaurants. One of these being Daphne’s which is a 5-minute stroll from your villa. The food is delightful, and the Cubre Libre’s are to die for!! Guests of “The Villa” are also just a 2-minute beach walk to the exclusive Sandy Lane Hotel. This walk is best done in the evenings when the sun is about to set …. As it will be truly memorable.
