Property Description

Rose of Sharon is a beautiful 6 bedroomed luxury property, located on the prestigious Sandy Lane Estate and a short drive from the main hotel.  Guests of this villa can enjoy the use of the Sandy Lane Beach Facilities, (including beach chairs, umbrellas, snack bar, washrooms & showers) on the exclusive Sandy Lane Beach, with calm, turquoise water, safe for swimming and water-sports.  The friendly turtles can also sometimes be sighted in these waters.

The property is on a uniquely elegant road on the estate and is comprised of the main villa which has 4 bedrooms and a further guest cottage with 2 bedrooms and which is located on the far side of the swimming pool, making it an excellent choice for large parties looking for complete privacy.

The property is surrounded by spacious grounds, stretching to 1 ½ acres of wonderfully landscaped tropical gardens. The grounds have been recently extended and have undertaken a complete overhaul making it a haven of peace and tranquility.  One of the loveliest features of the impressive garden is a natural gully, complete with seating deck and soothing waterfall – the ideal place to sit and enjoy the lush greenery and tropical sounds.  The house overlooks a captivating landscape of beautifully maintained lawns, resplendent shrubs, mature trees and tropical foliage.   As well as creating a pervasive tranquility, the gardens also serve the very practical purpose of giving the house a great deal of privacy, both in terms of blocking the view of outsiders and by cushioning any noise from the exterior, making Rose of Sharon an oasis of undisturbed privacy.

The main villa itself has also had a recent refurbishment, making it an exquisite 5 star property with no expense spared.  The new features include an additional out-house with private gym, a new internal dining room and kitchen area creating an airy, open plan space and an extended pool deck offering ample space on the terrace, complete with barbeque facilities. 

Rose of Sharon’s bright and spacious rooms have been impeccably furnished to the highest standard. The living area has plenty of sofas and chairs from which to enjoy the entertainment center with cable TV, DVD player, radio and of course there is wireless internet access.  Large doors lead out to the open-air dining area which in turn overlooks the well-appointed pool deck.

The expansive terraces provide many sheltered seating areas which remain cool and breezy and offer wonderful views of the gardens.  The poolside terrace is an ideal location for relaxation or dining al-fresco.

The exceptionally large and modern kitchen is brand new, and is fully equipped with all modern conveniences.

Rose of Sharon has flexible accommodation options and can be rented on a 3, 4 or 6 bedroom basis, all of the bedrooms having en-suite facilities.  The two impressive master bedrooms are in the main house, have king sized beds and invigorating jacuzzi baths in the en-suite bathrooms.  There are two further stylish guest bedrooms in the main house: a queen bedded room and a twin bedroom comprising two single beds.

The cozy, self-contained guest cottage is situated on the other side of the swimming pool offering completely separate sleeping options.  There are two well-appointed bedrooms in the cottage: one generous king and one bedroom which can be made into a king or twin-bedded room, offering particularly flexible sleeping arrangements and making it an ideal choice for a multi generational vacation.  The Cottage also has a living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen and is fully air-conditioned throughout.

The amazing staff at Rose of Sharon are on hand to cater for your every need, so that you can completely relax.  The fabulous cook will cater for up to 3 meals per day, 6 days per week and is one of the best cooks on the island.  The in-villa team, complemented by everything else that Barbados has to offer, can provide an experience that is difficult to surpass anywhere.

LOCATION DETAILS

Rose of Sharon is located on the West Coast of Barbados, just a couple of minutes’ drive from the pristine, white sands of the Sandy Lane Beach.  The ‘Platinum’ West Coast of the island, most particularly the picturesque stretch of prime beach-front that borders Sandy Lane, is one of the most sought-after locations on the island. 

As a guest of this villa, you will be superbly positioned, just a 5 minute drive from Holetown, where you will find some of the best shopping in Barbados.  Holetown offers a fine selection of bars and restaurants to choose from, duty free shopping as well as many high-end stores and boutiques to browse.

Though the villa does not have a beach-front location, we love the easy access to the exclusive Sandy Lane facilities, which includes the fantastic beach facility so guests will always have access to comfortable sun loungers and beach umbrellas.  The Sandy Lane snack bar is the perfect place to break up the day with an impromptu lunch or a cooling drink.  For more formal dining options, Sandy Lane Hotel has two superb ocean-view restaurants to sample (pre-booking required).

For the more active guest, there are superb sporting facilities close by, including fabulous tennis facilities, a gym at nearby Holetown and wonderful golf courses including three beautiful courses at Sandy Lane and a further, very challenging course at Royal Westmoreland which boasts an ocean view from every hole.
